The sophomore album from Greenland’s The Scientific Singers is full of interesting harmonies and many, many allusions to the moon. Like, lots of talk about the moon. They also made all of their instruments out of ice. Worth a listen if you’re recovering from an accident, or if you’re really into the moon.
Electro Polka (1986) is the record breaking 34th album from polka trio Hans, Arlo and Murray and came only 60 days after their previous release. It’s as if they just played the same eight polka standards with different instruments each time out… This one is synth.
The debut album from Irish boy band 3+Ned is fairly derivative of the genre, but the rendition of Danny Boy is interesting. I just feel bad for Ned (pictured left).
"Terry Tacoma Sings" is the heartfelt debut album from former NFL quarterback Terry Tacoma, trading touchdowns for twang. Featuring a soulful blend of classic country ballads and boot-stomping anthems, Tacoma brings his larger-than-life personality and surprising vocal chops to tracks like "Friday Night Lights, Saturday Bar Fights" and the tearjerker "Fourth Down and Wrong" With lyrics that tackle love, loss, and the glory days, this is a playbook of emotion and grit that proves Terry’s talent doesn’t end on the field—it’s just getting started in the studio.
